Merry Christmas from all at CRS!
Corporate Christmas cards generate up to 20,000 tonnes of waste annually* so that’s why CRS won’t be sending any this year, Instead, we have donated £250 to the NSPCC.

Thank you for making a difference.
Following on from our announcement back in May regards our successful completion of the Manchester 10K run we thought you might like an update...
On Wednesday 12th August, CRS staff who took part in the Great Manchester Run went to see exactly why their hard work had paid off and show you exactly how your generous donations have changed the lives of so many people.
With just over £1,000 raised we were able to donate a plasma TV, Wii console including Wii fit and plenty of additional games to the Links Resource Centre, a local charity based in Eccles. That day we got the privilege of spending just a couple of hours with them as we competed on slalom skiing, bowling and hula hooping. It was overwhelming to see what pleasure it brought to the residents at the Links and with no help from the Government, donations like ours are vital for these individuals and the centre itself.
Once again, a heartfelt thank you from us all for your generosity - hopefully you can see it has put smiles on many faces.

CRS do their bit for Charity....and cross the finish line
More than 33,000 took to the city-centre streets on Sunday 17th May 2009 to tackle the 10 kilometre course, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes – and we were part of it!
After weeks of training and days of carbo-loading, employees at CRS donned their running shoes and set out on the challenge to raise a target of £1000 for our charity of choice “The Link’s Resource Centre” in Eccles as announced previously in the year.
The competition was on between the group for the fastest time, but reluctant to say Richard Jackson completed the race in the quickest time of 00:50:08 with the rest of the group finishing not far behind him.
As we all crossed the finish line, in true Manchester fashion the rain came lashing down but nothing could dampen our spirits as we headed to the bar for a well deserved drink and to celebrate the extremely generous donations from the likes of clients, colleagues, friends and family we had managed to raise a magnificent £1,135 and money is still coming in so a massive thank you to everyone one who kindly sponsored us.
Organisers on the day said the event had broken all records for both participants and spectators, and had cemented its place as Britain's top 10k - so much so CRS will be back next year!
The runners:

Richard Jackson, Marie Woodcock, Tarryn Gregory, Alex Hooley & Dave Carbery
Thank you to all our kind sponsors.

CRS do their bit for Charity!
We are proud to announce that CRS has chosen "The Links Resource Centre" as our designated charity for 2009. It is an organisation close to our hearts here and we will be running in the Great Manchester 10k Run in spring to raise money for this charity - we would really appreciate any sponsorship, all donations will be greatly received.
To tell you a little bit about the charity, The Links Resource Centre is a day centre for young adults with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, hearing impairments and challenging behaviour. Based in the heart of Salford they have a designated team of qualified therapists who provide invaluable time and support to these individuals to allow them to lead as enjoyable lives as possible. Unfortunately this charity receives no public funding therefore we at CRS are aiming to raise at least £1,000 to help them out with the excellent work they do, and in particular buy them the computer they need to assist them with their learning.
The Great Northern Business Money Commercial Finance Dinner 2008
The eighth Great Northern Business Money Commercial Finance Dinner was, like every one before it, bigger than the last one. Held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on September 25th it attracted an impressive audience and was overall another successful evening and a proud reflection of how well the North West markets have developed and thrived in the last 2-3 years.

.
More than 900 people gathered at Insider’s Dealmaker Awards at Manchester Central on 13th November 2008 to celebrate one of the toughest years to date in the regional corporate finance community. Fourteen awards were up for grabs with many old faces, and some new, fighting it out. While the number of high-profile transactions has dwindled because of lack of available debt, there have been some inspiring deals done in the North West over the past 12 months. The evening was again compéred by author and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth, CRS sponsored and presented the award for AIM Deal of the Year.

Insider Dealmakers Award 2007
Established in 1994, the Insider Dealmakers Awards brings together the cream of the professional sector. CRS sponsored and presented the prestigious award of Advisory Team of the year, at the 850 strong audience at the black tie dinner held at Manchester Central and hosted by Gyles Brandreth.
