CRS play ball (along with 112 other bankers)

Friday 26th March saw CRS roll out their inaugural Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament in aid of Sport Relief.

Sixteen teams made up of Banks, Factoring and Leasing companies from across the North West donned their football boots and signed up to the challenge to take on their competition to see who could take victory – this time on the field!

Held at the Powerleague Soccerdome in Manchester, the competition was on and the fixture list had been drawn as teams took to the four pitches in the first three knock out rounds. CRS’ very own female supporters were on the side lines to take on the roles of coach, water girl and even physio in some cases as each team showcased they were here to win!

In the final Bibby Financial Services showed what they were made of to seal the victory over GE Commercial Finance and take home the winners’ cup in a 2 – 1 defeat and RBS GRG took triumph over the hosts CRS to cement their title of the plate winners with a final score of 4 – 1 .

The event raised an amazing £765.00 in aid of Sports Relief so a massive Thank You to everyone who was involved to make the event such a success – so much so CRS aim to make this an annual event in their recruitment calendar.
